Stone hut circle 410m south-east of Roos Tor is a prehistoric residential structure located on Dartmoor in Devon. The monument consists of the remains of a circular stone-built dwelling, typical of Bronze Age settlement patterns on the moor, dating to approximately the second millennium BCE. The hut circle survives as a low stone foundation, forming a circular or sub-circular outline that marks the base of what would have been a timber-framed superstructure. Such structures provide evidence for the exploitation of the upland landscape during prehistory and represent an important category of archaeological remains for understanding Bronze Age domestic life and settlement distribution on Dartmoor.
