Stone hut circle, cairns and irregular aggregate field system 850m SSE of Sourton Tors is a Bronze Age settlement complex located on Dartmoor in Devon. The site comprises the remains of at least one substantial stone hut circle, associated cairns, and an irregular field system constructed from aggregated stones, indicative of pastoral land management practices characteristic of the second millennium BCE. The hut circle represents domestic occupation of the moorland during the Bronze Age, whilst the cairns likely served both funerary and clearance functions typical of contemporary upland settlement patterns. The irregular field boundaries demonstrate the systematic exploitation of marginal moorland terrain for pastoral agriculture during prehistory.
