The former Elsecar Ironworks is a substantial industrial monument located in Elsecar, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, representing the development of iron production in Yorkshire during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The site comprises the remains of blast furnaces, foundries, and associated structures that formed part of a major ironworking complex established to exploit local coal and iron ore resources.
