Tidal Mill Wall is a surviving eighteenth-century structure associated with tidal milling operations in the Ards Peninsula, County Down, Northern Ireland. The remains consist of a substantial wall that formed part of the infrastructure required to harness tidal power for grinding grain, a process that depended upon the enclosure and controlled release of tidal waters. Such mills represented an important form of industrial technology in the early modern period, exploiting natural coastal conditions to drive mechanical processes.
