Tulach Bad a'Choilich is a prehistoric settlement comprising hut circles, cairns and associated structures located in Caithness, northern Scotland. The site occupies ground underlain by psammite of the Moine Supergroup, metamorphic bedrock formed during the Neoproterozoic era. The sandy, silty nature of this geology would have provided relatively well-draining soil suitable for settlement and agriculture in this upland region.
The settlement consists of multiple hut circles—the remains of roundhouses whose stone foundations survive as circular earthwork features—distributed across the site alongside cairns, likely constructed for ritual, burial or territorial marking purposes. These remains indicate sustained occupation during the later prehistoric period, when such scattered settlements were characteristic of the Highlands and far north.
The monument is recorded and protected by Historic Environment Scotland under the statutory designation SM3475.
