Tusmore medieval settlement is a deserted medieval village located in Oxfordshire. The site preserves earthwork evidence of ridge and furrow cultivation patterns and settlement features characteristic of medieval agricultural communities. The settlement appears to have been abandoned during the post-medieval period, a fate shared with numerous English villages following changes in land use and economic conditions. The surviving archaeological remains, visible as landscape features, provide evidence of medieval manorial organisation and peasant settlement patterns in the Oxfordshire countryside.
