The stone hut circles and enclosure on Cox Tor comprise an upland settlement remains dating to the Bronze Age, positioned on the high moorland of Dartmoor in Devon. The site consists of two substantial hut circles constructed from stone, associated with an adjoining enclosure that would have functioned as stock management or defensive infrastructure for the prehistoric occupants. The monument represents domestic and pastoral settlement activity characteristic of the later Bronze Age period, when upland areas of Dartmoor experienced intensified human occupation. The physical remains survive as ruined stone foundations and earthworks, providing evidence of the established settlement patterns and building techniques employed by Bronze Age communities in the southwest peninsula.
