Wat's Dyke is a linear earthwork and scheduled ancient monument in Shropshire, England, forming part of an extensive defensive frontier work constructed during the Early Medieval period. The 365-metre section recorded here, located north-east of the Gate House on Shrewsbury Road, represents a surviving portion of a much longer dyke system that historically extended across the Welsh Marches. Dating to the seventh or early eighth century, the dyke comprises a substantial earth bank and ditch structure typical of frontier demarcation works of the Anglo-Saxon period.
