Wat's Dyke is an Early Medieval linear earthwork in Flintshire, Wales, forming one of two surviving sections of a substantial defensive or boundary work. The monument consists of an earth bank with accompanying ditch, characteristic of Anglo-Saxon frontier construction, and is situated between Clawdd Offa and Pigeon House Farm within the Cadw-designated site FL091. Dating to the seventh or eighth century, Wat's Dyke likely functioned as a territorial boundary or defence line, running broadly parallel to the later Offa's Dyke further to the east. The surviving sections preserve evidence of Early Medieval engineering and provide important archaeological testimony to the political geography of the Anglo-Welsh borderlands during the early Anglo-Saxon period.
