Stump Cross is a medieval wayside cross located in Mount Ephraim Plantation near Norwich, Norfolk. The monument survives as a fragmentary stone base, the upper portion having been lost, which is consistent with the attrition many such crosses have suffered over centuries. Dating to the medieval period, wayside crosses of this type served important functions within the medieval landscape, marking routes, boundaries, or sites of religious significance. The survival of Stump Cross, albeit in reduced form, contributes to the archaeological record of Norfolk's medieval religious and topographical heritage.
