Windmill Hill Cave is a Palaeolithic rock shelter located at Brixham in Devon, England. The cave was formed in limestone and has yielded significant archaeological evidence of human occupation dating to the Upper Palaeolithic period, making it an important site for understanding early human presence in south-west England. Excavations at the site, particularly those conducted in the nineteenth century, recovered stone tools and faunal remains that demonstrate sustained use by hunter-gatherers during the late Ice Age. The cave's stratigraphy and artefactual assemblage have contributed substantially to the broader understanding of Palaeolithic settlement patterns in the British peninsula.
