Windmill Hill Cave is a Palaeolithic cave site located near Brixham in Devon, England. The cave became archaeologically significant following its excavation in the nineteenth century, when it yielded evidence of early human occupation and stone tool assemblages from the Upper Palaeolithic period. The site has provided important material for understanding the chronology and material culture of late glacial Britain. The cave itself was formed in the local limestone and contains stratified deposits that have contributed to the archaeological record of human habitation in south-western England during the final stages of the last Ice Age.
