Biography
Aline MacMahon was an actress born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania in 1899. Her Broadway career began in 1920 with a small role in Edgar Selwyn's The Mirage. She made her screen debut in 1931 and worked in film, theater, and television until her retirement in 1975, receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for Dragon Seed in 1944. She died in 1991.
