Allan Arbus was born in New York City on February 15, 1918, and worked as a fashion photographer, photographer, and actor in film and television. He was the former husband of photographer Diane Arbus. He played psychiatrist Dr. Sidney Freedman on the CBS television series M*A*S*H. He died on April 19, 2013.
