Anna Harrison was born in Morristown, New Jersey, on July 25, 1775, and died on February 25, 1864. She served as first lady of the United States in 1841 as the wife of President William Henry Harrison, holding the position for one month before her husband died of pneumonia. She never visited the White House during her husband's presidency and was widowed while serving in the role. Her son John Scott Harrison was the father of President Benjamin Harrison.
