Biography

Anthony Perkins was an American actor, director, singer, and screenwriter born in New York City in 1932. He portrayed Norman Bates in Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 film Psycho, which brought him a Bambi Award nomination for Best Actor and the International Board of Motion Picture Reviewers Award for Best Actor. He appeared in Goodbye Again in 1961, earning a Bravo Otto nomination for Best Actor, a second Bambi Award nomination, the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor, and a David di Donatello Award for Best Actor. He died in 1992.
