Biography
Asa Griggs Candler was born on 30 December 1851 in Villa Rica, Georgia, and died on 12 March 1929. In 1888 he purchased the Coca-Cola recipe from chemist John Stith Pemberton in Atlanta, Georgia, for $2300. He founded the Coca-Cola Company in 1892 and developed it as a major company.
