Biography

Bess Meredyth was born in Buffalo, New York in 1890 and worked as a screenwriter and silent film actress. She wrote The Affairs of Cellini (1934) and adapted The Unsuspected (1947). She was one of the 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and was married to film director Michael Curtiz. She died in 1969.
