Bob Weir was born in San Francisco in 1947 and worked as a guitarist, singer-songwriter, and composer. He was a founding member of the Grateful Dead, which disbanded in 1995. After the group's dissolution, Weir performed with the Other Ones, later renamed the Dead, and founded or played in Kingfish, the Bob Weir Band, Bobby and the Midnites, Scaring the Children, RatDog, and Furthur, which he co-led with Phil Lesh. In 2015, he joined Dead & Company alongside Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti.
