Biography

Carl Joseph Robie III was born in Darby, Pennsylvania in 1945 and died in 2011. He swam for the University of Michigan and won a silver medal at the 1964 Olympics and a gold medal at the 1968 Olympics. Between 1961 and 1963 he held the world record in the 200-meter butterfly three times. After graduating from Dickinson Law School around 1970, he practiced civil law in Sarasota, Florida.
