Biography

Charles Moore was born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, in 1929 and competed in track and field. He won a gold medal in the 400 metre hurdles at the 1952 Summer Olympics with a time of 50.8 seconds and ran the third leg of the second-place 4 × 400 metres relay team at those Games. Moore was inducted into the United States National Track and Field Hall of Fame in 1999 and died in 2020 at age 91.
