Biography
Claire Trevor was born in Bensonhurst, New York in 1910 and worked as a stage, film, and television actor. She appeared in 65 feature films between 1933 and 1982, winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Key Largo (1948). She received Academy Award nominations for The High and the Mighty (1954) and Dead End (1937), and received top billing ahead of John Wayne in Stagecoach (1939). Trevor died in 2000.
