Biography

Dan Gurney was born on April 13, 1931, in Port Jefferson, New York. He competed in Formula One from 1959 to 1970, winning four Grand Prix races during his eleven seasons in the sport. In endurance racing, he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1967 driving for Ford and the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1959 driving for Ferrari. He died on January 14, 2018.
