Biography
David Halberstam was born in New York City in 1934 and worked as a journalist, historian, and writer. He won a Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting in 1964. He wrote about the Vietnam War, politics, history, the Civil Rights Movement, business, media, American culture, the Korean War, and sports journalism. He died in a car crash in 2007 while conducting research for a book.
