David Huddleston was born in Vinton, Virginia, in 1930 and died in 2016. He worked as a character actor in film and television from 1960 to 2014, appearing in more than 140 productions, and played the title role in Santa Claus: The Movie (1985) and The Big Lebowski (1998). He received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination and a Drama Desk Award nomination for the Broadway production of Death of a Salesman.
