Dennis Wilson was born in Inglewood, California in 1944 and died in 1983. He was a musician, singer, and songwriter who co-founded the Beach Boys, where he served as drummer and the middle brother of bandmates Brian and Carl Wilson. As the only dedicated surfer in the group, his lifestyle embodied the "California myth" that inspired many of the band's early songs. He contributed original material to their catalog, including "Forever" from 1970.
