Biography
Dolores Costello was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1903 and worked as a film and stage actor. She achieved her greatest success during the silent film era. Her first husband, actor John Barrymore, gave her the nickname "The Goddess of the Silent Screen." She was the mother of John Drew Barrymore and grandmother of actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore. She died in 1979.
