Biography

Donn Fulton Eisele was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1930 and died in 1987. He served as a United States Air Force officer and test pilot before joining NASA as an astronaut, and he served as command module pilot for the Apollo 7 mission in 1968. After retiring from NASA and the Air Force in 1972, he became Peace Corps country director for Thailand and later worked in private business.
