Biography
Edgar Cayce was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky in 1877 and worked as a psychic and astrologer. He reported an ability to diagnose diseases and recommend treatments while asleep, and conducted thousands of transcribed sessions addressing questions on healing, reincarnation, dreams, the afterlife, past lives, nutrition, Atlantis, and future events. Cayce stated he was a devout Christian and not a spiritualist or in communication with spirits. He is regarded as a founder of the New Age movement and a principal source of many of its characteristic beliefs. He died in 1945.
