Biography
Efrem Zimbalist Jr. was born in New York City in 1918 and worked as a film, television, stage, and voice actor. He appeared in the crime drama series 77 Sunset Strip from 1958 to 1964 and The F.B.I. from 1965 to 1974, and had a recurring role as "Dandy Jim" Buckley on Maverick in 1957 and 1958. He provided the voice of Alfred Pennyworth in the DC Animated Universe, performed on Broadway, and appeared in numerous films. He received a Golden Globe Award and two Primetime Emmy Award nominations before his death in 2014.
