Biography
Elizabeth Hartman was born in Youngstown, Ohio on December 23, 1943, and worked as a stage, film, and television actor. She made her film debut in A Patch of Blue (1965), playing a blind character named Selina D'Arcy opposite Sidney Poitier, a performance that earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress, and the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year. She died on June 10, 1987.
