Biography
Frank Sheeran was born in Camden, New Jersey, in 1920 and worked as a truck driver, trade unionist, and labor leader. He grew up in Darby, Pennsylvania, during the Great Depression in a devoutly Catholic Irish-American family, and enlisted in the US Army after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. He served with the 45th Infantry Division during the Italian Campaign as both an infantryman and in the Military Police Corps. After returning to Pennsylvania, he became involved with the Teamsters and worked as an enforcer for Jimmy Hoffa and Russell Bufalino before his death in 2003.
