Biography

Gary Rossington was born on December 4, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida. A guitarist and songwriter, he was a founding member of Lynyrd Skynyrd and performed with the band until his death on March 5, 2023. He also co-founded the Rossington Collins Band with Allen Collins. At his death, Rossington was the last surviving original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd.
