A keyboardist, composer, singer-songwriter and record producer, he worked with artists as an arranger, music director, writer and co-writer, and as a music professor. He gained recognition through the album The Jean-Luc Ponty Experience with the George Duke Trio and released 32 solo albums, while also collaborating with musicians including Stanley Clarke, Dianne Reeves, and Frank Zappa.
