Biography
Glenn Branca was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1948 and worked as a guitarist, luthier, and composer. He employed volume, alternative guitar tunings, repetition, droning, and the harmonic series in his compositions. He received a 2009 Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grants to Artists Award. He died on May 13, 2018.
