Biography
Gram Parsons was born Ingram Cecil Connor III in Winter Haven, Florida on November 5, 1946. He recorded with the International Submarine Band, the Byrds, and the Flying Burrito Brothers, developing a style he termed "Cosmic American Music" that blended country, rhythm and blues, soul, folk, and rock. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him No. 87 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He died on September 19, 1973, and was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2026 in the musical influence category.
