Harry Warren was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 24, 1893, and died on September 22, 1981. He composed and wrote songs primarily for film, receiving eleven Academy Award nominations for Best Original Song and winning three Oscars for "Lullaby of Broadway," "You'll Never Know," and "On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe." He wrote the music for 42nd Street, which was choreographed by Busby Berkeley, and collaborated with Berkeley on multiple musical films.
