Biography

Hart Crane was born in Garrettsville, Ohio, in 1899 and worked as a poet and writer. His 1926 collection White Buildings included poems such as "Chaplinesque," "At Melville's Tomb," "Repose of Rivers," and "Voyages." He published the long poem The Bridge in 1930, which drew inspiration from the Brooklyn Bridge. Crane died in 1932.
