Henry A. Wallace was born on 7 October 1888 in Orient, Iowa. He worked as a horticulturist, politician, and writer. From 1941 to 1945, he served as the 33rd vice president of the United States under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. He held the position of 11th U.S. secretary of agriculture and 10th U.S. secretary of commerce, and was the Progressive Party's nominee in the 1948 presidential election. He died on 18 November 1965.
