Biography
Herman Wouk was born in The Bronx in 1915 and worked as a novelist, screenwriter, and science fiction writer. He published 15 novels, including The Caine Mutiny, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1952, as well as The Winds of War, War and Remembrance, and Marjorie Morningstar. He also wrote non-fiction, including This Is My God, which presented Judaism from a Modern Orthodox perspective. His books were translated into 27 languages. He died in 2019.
