Biography
Howard Zinn was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1922 and died in 2010. A historian and World War II veteran, he served as chair of the history and social sciences department at Spelman College and as a political science professor at Boston University. He wrote more than 20 books, including A People's History of the United States, published in 1980, and A Young People's History of the United States, published in 2007.
