Biography
Hugh Clowers Thompson Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1943 and served as a warrant officer in the 123rd Aviation Battalion of the 23rd Infantry Division. On March 16, 1968, he acted alongside Glenn Andreotta and Lawrence Colburn to end the Mỹ Lai massacre in the South Vietnamese village of Sơn Mỹ. He died in 2006.
