Biography

Jack Shea was a speed skater born in Lake Placid, New York in 1910. He won two gold medals in speed skating at the 1932 Winter Olympics, becoming the first American to win two gold medals at a single Winter Olympics. He was the patriarch of a family that produced Winter Olympians across three generations. He died in 2002.
