Biography

James Dean was born in Marion, Indiana in 1931 and worked as a stage actor, television actor, and film actor. He appeared in three major films: East of Eden and Rebel Without a Cause, both released in 1955, and Giant, released in 1956. All three films were preserved in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress. He died in a car accident in 1955 at age 24.
