Joseph Walter Jackson was born in Fountain Hill, Arkansas in 1928 and worked as a talent manager, crane operator, boxer, music executive, talent agent, musician, record producer, composer, actor, and screenwriter. He was the patriarch of the Jackson family of entertainers and was inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame in 2014. He died in 2018.
