Biography
Joe Turkel was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 15, 1927, and worked as a character actor in film and television. He appeared in Stanley Kubrick's The Killing (1956), Paths of Glory (1957), and The Shining (1980), and played Dr. Eldon Tyrell in Blade Runner (1982). He also had roles in three films directed by Bert I. Gordon. Turkel died on June 27, 2022.
