Jon Polito was born in Philadelphia on December 29, 1950, and worked as a film, television, stage, and voice actor until his death on September 1, 2016. Over 35 years he accumulated more than 220 credits across film and television, including roles as Detective Steve Crosetti in the first two seasons of Homicide: Life on the Street and Phil Bartoli in the first season of Crime Story. He appeared in films such as The Rocketeer, The Crow, and Gangster Squad, and worked with the Coen brothers on five of their films, among them Miller's Crossing, Barton Fink, and The Big Lebowski. In Tim Burton's 2014 film Big Eyes, he played Enrico Banducci, the impresario of the hungry i nightclub.
