Biography

Lee Iacocca was an engineer and executive born in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1924. At Ford Motor Company in the 1960s, he developed the Mustang, Continental Mark III, and Pinto. He joined Chrysler Corporation as president in 1978, became chairman and CEO in 1979, and retired at the end of 1992. He presided over operations at two of the United States' Big Three automakers. He died in 2019.
