Biography

Lizabeth Scott was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1921 and worked as an actress, singer, model, and stage performer. She modeled for the Walter Thornton Model Agency and was known for her smoky voice. After understudying the role of Sabina in the original Broadway and Boston productions of The Skin of Our Teeth, she appeared in films including The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, Dead Reckoning, Desert Fury, and Too Late for Tears. She was the leading lady in all but three of her 22 films and appeared on television from the late 1940s to the early 1970s. She died in 2015.
