American actor (1902-1985)
Biography
Lloyd Nolan was born in San Francisco in 1902 and worked as a stage, film, and television actor. He created the role of Captain Queeg in Herman Wouk's play The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial in the mid-1950s, and won a Best Actor Emmy Award for reprising the role in a 1955 television adaptation. He starred in the Mike Shayne detective films and appeared in the sitcom Julia. Nolan died in 1985.
