Loretta Lynn was born in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky in 1932 and worked as a recording artist, country musician, and songwriter across a career spanning six decades. She released multiple gold albums and had hits including "Coal Miner's Daughter," "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin'," "Fist City," and "The Pill." A 1980 musical film titled Coal Miner's Daughter, in which actress Sissy Spacek played Lynn, was based on her life. She died in 2022.
